Building Reading Success is a module-based intervention program that develops K–5 students' proficiency in foundational literacy skills.

Reading assessments help educators on a day-to-day basis. Knowing a child's specific abilities allows a teacher to place students in appropriate reading groups and create center work that promotes specific skill development.

The most common reading comprehension assessment involves asking a child to read a passage of text that is leveled appropriately for the child, and then asking some explicit, detailed questions about the content of the text (often these are called IRIs).
