Building Reading Success is a module-based intervention program that develops K–5 students' proficiency in foundational literacy skills.

Reading assessments help educators on a day-to-day basis. Knowing a child's specific abilities allows a teacher to place students in appropriate reading groups and create center work that promotes specific skill development.

The more students read, the more successful they will be academically because they will be able to think critically and utilize those strategies. So, there are many positive benefits to increasing reading habits.

There are many ways to measure reading fluency. Some standard methods include timed readings, and miscue analysis. Timed readings are when a child is given a certain amount of time to read a passage aloud. The goal is for the child to read as much of the passage as possible in the allotted time.
